The National Elk Refuge in Jackson Hole was established in the early 1900′s to protect and preserve our country’s wildlife, fish and plants. Large game, especially elk, use this land as a safe haven in the winter where they can feed and rest. With all of these animals calling the National Elk Refuge home for the winter, you will have an incredible opportunity to see some amazing wildlife.
Tickets will be on sale at the Visitors Center near the Town Square in downtown Jackson Hole. Sleigh Rides begin on December 17. There will be sleigh rides every day including weekends and all holidays except Christmas Day. Rides begin at 10:00 am and last until 4:00 pm each day. The cost is $18 for adults, $14 for children between the ages of 5 and 12, and all children under 5 years old are free.
No matter how close the two of you snuggle up, it will still be cold out there. Be sure to dress accordingly. Wear a warm jacket, gloves, winter hat and any other layers you’ll need to keep yourself warm.
